On top of its excellent mechanical and dielectric properties at continuous operating temperatures up to 130°C and its V0 flammability rating, EPGC202CR laminate has also been tested for performance in low temperatures.
Our EPGC202CR laminate conforms to EN60893 for the type EPGC202, and to ANSI/NEMA IM 6000 for the type FR-4.
EPGC202CR - properties
Improved mechanical properties at low temperatures
The tests completed on EPGC202CR laminate have shown an improvement in mechanical properties, including:
- flexural strength,
- impact strength,
- modulus of elasticity
-
tensile strength after exposure to liquid nitrogen and helium.
Thermal conductivity and expansion
- Thermal conductivity decreases the lower the temperature of application, making the laminate ideal for insulation in cryogenic systems.
-
The coefficient of thermal linear expansion is low, which minimizes the risk of material deformations in extreme conditions.
Possible applications
• High-voltage electrical engineering: transformers, compensators, superconducting electromagnets.
• Aerospace: components of rockets, research stations and research equipment.
• Extreme refrigeration: systems for very low temperatures.
EPGC202CR is a material that combines high mechanical strength, excellent insulating properties and reliability in extreme conditions – the ideal choice for the most demanding industrial and research applications.
